May 02 : Known for dark and intense character, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is stepping in rom-com genre with Jogira Sara Ra Ra, where he will be seen romancing Neha Sharma, and the duo recently kickstarted the film’s promotions. During the press-meet Nawazuddin was asked about doing romantic scenes onscreen and the actor had a rather hilarious reaction to it.
Leaving the audience in splits, Nawazuddin jokingly said, “Who doesn’t like romance? If we don’t get it in real life, then we make do with it in films. Our business is all about feelings and emotions. I enjoy romantic scenes because I didn’t get to experience it in life. I am getting to do it in films, that is enough for me. I am an actor and I feel it all.”
Helmed by Kushan Nandy, the film revolves around Jogi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), a matchmaker, and Dimple (Neha Sharma), who approaches him with a request of getting rid of her fiancé.
Nawazuddin also talked about his journey of more than two decades in the Hindi film industry and said he has constantly evolved over the years. “You learn every day, it’s a new experience which helps enhance your craft. I can’t act the way I used to 20 years ago because today I carry the experience of those many years. It’s important to evolve constantly and with experience, your acting also changes. I can’t be stuck. If someone tells me that they’ll make me a superstar, but I’ll have to do just one kind of role, I’ll shoot myself. I’ll quickly get bored, quit it and join some other field”
The film will be released in cinemas on May 12.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui will next be seen in Afwaah which hits screens this Friday. He also has Haddi and Bole Chudiyan in the pipeline.
