July 18 : After hitting a high note with first single Kaavaalaa, the makers of Jailer dropped the second single Hukum – Thalaivar Alappara, late last evening. The lyrical video has clocked 5.5 million hits and trending at number one place.
The official handle of Sun Pictures shared the news on social media.
Hukum track is an interesting mix of lyrics and hard punching dialogues from Rajinikanth, which are infused with the rhythm of the song. The song is composed and crooned by Anirudh Ranichander, and penned by Super Subu.
Jailer is written and directed by Nelson and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. It stars Rajinikanth in the title role, along with Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Mirnaa Menon, Yogibabu and Vinayakan.
It is rumoured that Jailer is about a jail warden, who has to save a film crew shooting inside the prison from the inmates. The story is slightly similar to director Nelson Dilipkumar’s last film Beast, which was set inside a mall.
The film is scheduled to release on 10 August 2023.
